Kingfisher Airlines plans legal action against property seizure

Mumbai: Kingfisher Airlines, whose headquarters at Vile Parle — Kingfisher House — was seized by lenders on August 10 to recover dues, plans to take legal action to overturn this move by the consortium of lenders led by State Bank of India, an official of the airline said on Monday.


“We will be taking overarching legal action against the move,” said an official from Kingfisher Airlines who requested anonymity.
The official, however, refused to disclose the nature of the legal action and the time-frame over which the grounded airline plans to take legal recourse. He added that Kingfisher House was being used by the airline on Monday.
