New Delhi: Hybrid airline, Malindo Air, is set to start flying to India’s Kochi in the southern Kerala state soon.
Deccan Chronicle reported that the route would be Kuala Lumpur-Kochi.
Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is among the airlines that have started operating the route recently.
Others are Silk Air, also a full service carrier, is operating daily to Singapore, while Tiger Airways, a low-cost airline, gives connectivity to Singapore four times a week.
"Besides these carriers, three more airlines are in talks with Cochin International Airport Ltc (CIAL) to start operations to Far-East destinations.
These are Malaysia-based low-cost carrier, Malindo Air, Indonesia-based Garuda Airlines and Thai Airways, the national flag carrier of Thailand," said the report.
Malindo Air is also planning to fly to New Delhi and Mumbai.
