Mumbai: An IndiGo flight suffered a tyre burst while taxiing at the Mumbai airport while preparing to leave for Delhi on Thursday evening. Airport officials said that the tyre burst because the aircraft wheel went over a taxiway light and crushed it. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is investigating the incident.
Around 6.30pm, flight 6E 138 was taxiing towards the runway when the pilot detected a tyre burst. Airport officials said that the aircraft returned to the bay immediately.
