Indore: Delhi-bound passengers had a harrowing experience on Wednesday when their flight got abruptly cancelled at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, Indore. The IndiGo flight 6E-435 which was scheduled to take off from Indore at 10 am and reach Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi at 11.30 am was cancelled in the eleventh hour owing to some technical snag.
However, the airlines arranged an alternative flight for its 177 passengers which took off from Indore airport at 5.30pm.
Angry passengers blamed IndiGo staff for failing to apprise them of the cancellation of the flight and leaving them in lurch. Delhi-based CA Manish Bairagi said, "I missed an important meeting in Delhi. There was no proper co-ordination on part of airlines staff."
Govinda Mahajan, who had to leave for Delhi to get his mother treated, said, "I missed the appointment with the doctor."
