Aero India 2015: Day 4

3:45 pm: Officials of the Department of Posts are keeping a keen eye on visitors, including Defence PSU officials. Some of them were caught trying to pilfer postcards and aero India mugs. They assumed everything was free to take at the stall.

3:15 pm: Officials say the general display area may have more than 1 lakh people.

3:00 pm: The heat has had a few victims. A few spectators were rushed to the nearby medical centre after they complained of dizziness and low blood pressure. A three-month old baby suffered injuries after falling down.

2:00 pm: "The crowds are great. Everyone smiles, and are always friendly. The numbers have been big too. When we look down from our plane, we see big groups within the air force base, as well as thousands of people and a line of cars that have stopped on the highway just to see the show. The response here has been among the best we have seen," says Jez Hopkinson, pilot, Yakovlevs display team.

12: 50 pm: The audience watch as the C17 Globemaster takes off

11: 57 am: Precision flying by Breitling enthralls the audience at Aero India 2015 show.

10: 20 am: There is heavy traffic on Airport Road as people make their way to the event.

10: 15 am: Over 1 lakh people are expected to visit the Aero Show over the weekend. BMTC is running special buses to the show, almost every five minutes, and these are full. Even airport buses seem to be full of visitors to the show.
