At a meeting held here with farmers from Buddavaram and Ajjampudi over land acquisition for airport, he said that as per basic value, an acre in Kesarapally village was valued at Rs.79.12 lakh, Rs. 50 lakh for an acre in Buddavaram and Rs.40 lakh in Ajjampudi.
The Collector said that a draft notification for requirement of 121.97 acres in Keserapally village, 196.56 acres in Buddavaram and 112.49 acres in Ajjampudi had already been issued. The land would be acquired under land acquisition or land pooling methods.
He made it clear that exemption could not be granted to 100 houses in Davaji Gudem at Buddavaram as they were close to the construction site of the runway. However, under the relief and rehabilitation package, new houses with all amenities would be built at Venkatanarsimhapuram on the fringes of Keserapally, he said.
