Thiruvananthapuram: A passenger’s attempt to smuggle 1.116 kg of gold on an Air India flight from Sharjah to Chennai ended with him being held by Customs officials at the international airport here on Tuesday.
The passenger, identified as Mohammed Ali of Kannur, was held during an inspection of the flight, AI 968, at around 5.30 a.m. at the airport.
