No changes in airport charges at Mumbai's CSI till May-end

New Delhi: Air fares for flights going in and out of Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International (CSI) airport may not see a drop till at least June this year, with the government's airports tariff regulator announcing that existing tariffs will continue till end-May.

The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) order dated January 28th, 2015 impacts airport charges such as User Development Fee paid by passengers, and parking/landing fees paid by airlines.
UDF rates at CSI are Rs 274 for domestic departures and Rs 574 for international departures -- unlike the Delhi airport, CSI does not charge on arriving passengers.

"Aeronautical tariffs approved by the Authority vide order dated January 15, 2013 shall continue up to May 31st, 2015, or until the final determination of the tariffs for the second control period (2014-2019), whichever is earlier," the AERA order said.
