Belagavi: It was a rare sight of a Tiger Moth aircraft hovering over the Belagavi skies on Friday. The aircraft was on its way to Bengaluru to participate in the forthcoming Aero India Air Show scheduled from February 18 to 22.
Wing Commander H. Kulshrestra, who captained the aircraft, arrived here from Hindon Air Force Station underAir Command near Ghaziabad. The Tiger Moth served as a basic trainer in the formative years of the Indian Air Force. The present aircraft HU-152 was resurrected and made fly-worthy to relive its glorious past.
