Ahmedabad: The city airport recorded the highest number of complaints related to services and hygiene among all the domestic airports in the country in 2014. This was informed to Lok Sabha by Mahesh Sharma, minister of state for civil aviation, on Monday.
The government received a total of 462 complaints from air passengers regarding issues such as poor service standards, hygiene and negligence of duties at country's various airports last year.
Sharma said in a written reply that the highest number of complaints (60) was received at Ahmedabad airport, followed by Ranchi (37) and Rajkot (27) among the 48 domestic airports during the period January-December 2014.
Ahmedabad airport is among the four airports to be privatized by central government later this year and the process has already begun.
