Karipur: The all-woman-crew Air India Express flight left for Abu Dhabi from the Calicut International Airport on Sunday evening. The flight was operated as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations.
There are six staff in the Air India Express IX 363 flight, including Commandant Captain G K Sandhu and First Officer Captain Poonam Soste.
A warm send-off was accorded to the crew in their office at the airport.
“We are saluting the women in the Air India and all women through the programme.
All-women crew flights were operated from different airports in the country, including Thiruvananthapuram, on Sunday.
The security staff and the traffic staff were all women,” Air India Calicut Airport manager Raza Ali Khan said.
