Kasargod: The Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Kasargod, has ordered the defunct Kingfisher Airlines to pay `5 lakh to a customer for offloading him midway. ccording to the complaint registered with the forum, bdul Salam Kallatra, an NRI businessman and resident of Melparambu, here, was forced to discontinue his journey at Bangalore on December 15.
He had bought a ticket to Dubai from Mangalore via Bangalore from a travel agency in Kasargod. Though Abdul Salam was allowed to board the flight from Mangalore International Airport, Kingfisher officials refused to fly him to Dubai on touching down at Bangalore. They said his UAE resident visa had expired. The airline said he had not returned to the country before six months.
