Siliguri: Come April and passengers from North Bengal and Sikkim can avail a new airlines from Bagdogra airport to travel to Guhawati and Delhi.
Air Vistara, the Tata-Singapore joint venture carrier, will operate daily services from April 2 connecting Delhi with Guwahati and Bagdogra.
Airport Director of Bagdogra Airport Rakesh Sahi, said that the new Air Bus 319 will operate from April 2 from Bagdogra airport. He said that that the flight would reach Bagdogra at 4.30 pm from Guwahati and again fly to New Delhi at 5 pm. According to Sahi the preparations were ready for the new flight and bookings had also been started.
Convener of Help Tourism Raj Basu, said that the launching of new
airlines Vistara from Guwahati and Bagdogra would bring more tourists to Meghalaya, Assam, Bengal and Sikkim. He also informed that the domestic and the international tourists would benefit and the tourism industry would also get a boost.
