Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh): An Indian Air Force fighter aircraft crashed in a barren piece of land here on Monday afternoon while it was on a routine sortie. Both the pilots are reported to have bailed out safely.
Villagers reportedly told the police that they had seen two people ejecting out of the aircraft
According to information, an IAF fighter aircraft crashed in Kalda village of Hanumanganj police station area of Chitrakoot district. This place is on the Uttar Pradesh-Madhya Pradesh border.
The wreckage of the ill-fated aircraft is being traced as IAF officials and senior police officials have rushed to the crash site, said the police official.
