Tiruchi: The Tiruchi international airport has emerged on top among “non-major” airports in the country in a nationwide survey conducted in 2014.
The airport was adjudged the best based on various parameters taken into account during the course of the airport services quality survey that was conducted twice last year. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) had commissioned two independent agencies to carry out the annual survey in all the airports across the country.
While one agency was entrusted with the task of carrying out the survey in major airports, the other agency was given the job of executing the exercise in non-major airports.
Accordingly, the customer satisfaction survey was done twice – one between January and June and the second between June and December. A team from the agency inspected non-major airports including Tiruchi during this period and looked into various parameters to eventually judge the best one.
