SURAT: There is some good news for the travel freaks in Surat as the travel time between Surat and the Union territory of Diu is set to reduce from treacherous nine hours to less than an hour. Come June and the Diamond City will get the much-awaited air connectivity to Diu.
Diamond Aeronautics Limited (DAL), an airline owned by diamond barons in the city, is preparing to launch the Surat-Amreli-Diu-Rajkot evening flight services, sometime in the second week of June. After Bhavnagar and Rajkot, the city will be connected with the important diamond polishing centre Amreli as well.
