NEW DELHI: AirAsia India's decision to declare Bengaluru airport as its
hub won the new carrier up to 50 per cent discount in airport charges.
This has not gone down well with the older airlines, which have opened a
new front against the Indo-Malaysian low-cost carrier by complaining to
the government against the discount.
"The airlines have complained about it and the airport regulator Airports Economic regulatory Authority (AERA) has been asked to look into the issue," said a civil aviation ministry official, who did not want to be identified.
