Hyderabad: GMR Airport Developers Ltd (GADL), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Ltd, has started providing training to the first batch from Oman Airport Management Company at the GMR Aviation Academy.
After a two-week training stint in India, the OAMC team would return to Muscat. The 22-member team from OAMC is currently undergoing a specially designed course on Airfield Rescue and Firefighting at Hyderabad. Next week, the team will continue their training at GMRAA, New Delhi.
GADL had signed a memorandum of understanding with OAMC in June this year for providing training and consultancy services. Under the MoU, the GMR subsidiary would provide services ranging from programme management, testing and commissioning of airport systems, to development of aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue streams, according to a GMR statement.
