NEW DELHI: The government on Tuesday said India's civil aviation sector grew by 14 percent in the last decade.
Minister of State (MoS) for Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma said: "The utility of aviation is improving steadily, with a cumulative annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14 percent in the last decade."
"Domestic passenger traffic was 123 million in 2013-14 which registered a growth of 5.2 percent over the previous year," the minister informed the Rajya Sabha in a written reply during Question Hour.
