It seems the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, like major
railway stations and other such crowded places, has its own set of
pickpockets. A family of four on a trip to Mumbai realised this on
Sunday, when a pouch containing their passports and valuables went
missing, causing them a lot of inconvenience. It was later recovered
with almost all of its contents gone.
According to sources, the incident happened on July 31, when the four landed in the city on a Jet Airways flight at 11.15pm. They realised they had forgotten the pouch on leaving the aircraft. But when they went back inside, it was gone. The pouch contained their passports, phone, cash and other valuables.
On Sunday, the airline authorities called them, informing them that the pouch has been found in an airport toilet with their passports intact but valuables and cash missing.
