To give a better idea to the tourists about civilsation and culture of Kashmir, booklet with information on the historical monuments of the valley will soon be made available at the Sheikh-ul-Alam airport in Srinagar.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Asgar Samoon has also directed the concerned officers to take up heightened measures to raise awareness about the historical monuments and conserve the heritage for posterity.
“This will help people know their cultural and traditional background besides promoting the historical importance of the regions,” Asgar said. He also directed the concerned agencies for optimum use of mass media for raising awareness about the historical monuments and proper maintenance of the museum.
