Air India issues advisory, asks passengers to report 3 hours prior departure of flight

Mumbai: Air India, on Monday advised the change in reporting time for passengers at the counter.
Due to the recent security alert in the country, the passengers and baggage will have to undergo more stringent checks at the airports. To keep the flights on schedule, the government-led company has changed the reporting time. Now, the passengers have to report three hours before the scheduled departure of the flight, the company said in a press release.

Currently, the minimum reporting time for domestic flights and international flights is 75 minutes and 150 minutes respectively.


Currently, check-in counters for domestic flights close 45 minutes before scheduled time of departure. For international flights, counters close 60 minutes prior to departure. Counters for flights (both Domestic and International) operating from International Terminals close 60 minutes before scheduled departure of flight. Boarding gates in both cases close 25 minutes prior to departure.
