Airlines in Oman reduce prices this month to attract travellers

Muscat: January is the lean travel season and airlines across the Gulf have dropped return fares to many destinations across the Middle East, Asia and Europe to entice travellers.

Oman Air (national carrier) is offering special fares to destinations like Salalah and the Maldives. Also flying free between Sohar and Muscat and exploring the Musandam Peninsula.

Qatar Airways (Doha-based airline), is offering an up to 35 % discount on travel from Muscat to many destinations.

A travel agent from the Sultanate divulged that the tickets must be purchased before January 17 so that passengers can earn triple miles and win many prizes, reported Times of Oman.

Jet Airways (India-based) is offering a special five-day sale, allowing guests from Muscat to enjoy a flat 10 % discount on base fares, travelling to India and countries in ASEAN and the SAARC regions.

The discount is applicable on all flights booked on Jet Airways.com for travel to India and countries in ASEAN and the SAARC regions.
