Pune: Passengers travelling out of Pune by air had to bear with cancelled meetings, extra hotel expenses and inconvenience caused by delayed flights from the Lohegaon airport on Friday and Saturday.
Sixteen flights from Pune to other sectors were delayed in the last two days due to dense fog and low visibility.
The outlook for Sunday is not bright either as the met department has forecast another day of dense to very dense fog at isolated places over West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab and north Rajasthan.
The flight delays affected the schedules of many travellers. An IT professional from the city had a flight to Delhi Friday. "But my flight was delayed by six hours, which meant that I had to wait to board it instead of attending meetings in Delhi. I later had to postpone some meetings. This is the story every winter," he said.
