Indigo deplanes 3 passengers in Ahmedabad from Mumbai flight

Ahmedabad: Three passengers, all family members, were de-boarded by Indigo officials from a Mumbai flight on Monday morning allegedly over unruly behaviour.
The Modi family, including Aashil Modi and his parents Kapil Modi and Avani Modi, were scheduled to board Indigo's 6E-214 flight for Mumbai. The Modi family not only lost tickets worth Rs 15,000 as Indigo did not refund them, but they also missed an important family function in Mumbai besides important business meetings.

They had done web check-in and were approaching the security hold area (SHA) when they were stopped by Indigo officials. "We were told that our bags' weight was more than the permissible limits of cabin baggage. Since all three of us had a single PNR ticket, we were allowed to carry 21 kg of cabin baggage (7kg per person). The airline officials were quite rude and insisted that we weigh our bags. Upon weighing it was found that the total weight of our bags was a little over 15kg," said Aashil Modi.
