New Delhi: The ongoing “New Year sale” at budget airliner SpiceJet promises base fares starting from as low as Rs 716. Those planning to travel next year between January 15 and April 12 can avail this offer till December 31.
We take a look at how cheap SpiceJet fares are in comparison to other domestic airliners such as Indigo and Jet Airways.
Note: A comprehensive price comparison on other routes is beyond the scope of this article. Only air routes beginning from Delhi were observed between the dates January 16 and 17.
A return ticket for an adult travelling from Delhi to Mumbai, according to Via.com, between the dates on offer is available at Rs 2,757 — Rs 1 cheaper than Indigo. However, for those travelling from Mumbai to Delhi the cost of the tickets are the same for SpiceJet and Indigo. For those who fancy a free meal on board, Jet Airways is offering the Del-Mum ticket at Rs 2,846 inclusive of meals.
