Kochi: Cochin International Airport has offered to waive parking landing fee for airlines willing to operate direct flights from Kochi to Europe or the Americas.
The CIAL offer was conveyed by its Managing Director V.J. Kurien to the visiting Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapati Raju here on Sunday.
The Minister told CIAL authorities that the offer would be conveyed to the airlines. The Minister told reporters that all airports in the country had been directed to produce at least a mega watt of solar power after the successful model of CIAL, which is the first such facility in the world to run solely on solar power, said the Minister.
