IRCTC comes up with flight, rail packages

Thiruvananthapuram: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced its first international flight package from the capital, to Sri Lanka, in March, Bharat Darshan Tourist Train to Rajasthan, and an international flight package to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, both in February.


The Sri Lanka Ramayana Yatra flight package will depart from the Thiruvananthapuram international airport on March 24 with 20 passengers. The IRCTC’s five-night/six-day package is to Colombo, Nuwara Eliya, and Kandy. According to the IRCTC, the package to the island nation includes to and fro flight tickets, three-star hotel accommodation, meals, air-conditioned coach for sightseeing, services of IRCTC tour managers, tour guides, entry tickets, and travel insurance.

The Royal Rajasthan tourist train is scheduled from February 16 and will cover Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Mount Abu in 11 days. The standard (sleeper class) category package costs Rs.9,120 a person and comfort (3rd AC) package costs Rs.12,540.
