Mangaluru: Those travelling between Mangaluru and Bengaluru will have flights almost every two hours from March 27.
JT Radhakrishna, Airport Director, Mangaluru International Airport, told Business Line that Mangaluru will be connected to Bengaluru with additional three flights from March 27.
At present, airlines such as Jet Airways, SpiceJet and Air Pegasus connect Mangaluru with Bengaluru. While Jet Airways operates six flights daily from Mangaluru to Bengaluru, SpiceJet operates two flights from the Mangaluru airport. Air Pegasus operates one flight from the city to Bengaluru.
In the current schedule, the first flight to Bengaluru from Mangaluru departs at 7 am. The last flight of the day to Bengaluru is at 8.40 pm.
In the proposed schedule, which will come into effect on March 27, the last flight to Bengaluru is likely to depart at 10.45 pm. The other two likely departure timings are at 2 pm and 4.55 pm.
