Gaya: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) on Monday introduced 'Swagat Service', an initiative to offer hospitality and other services to foreigners at the Gaya airport.
Airport director Dilip Kumar said Globe Grow India, a Delhi-based company engaged in hospitality business has been given the franchise to provide the service to foreign visitors. Gaya district magistrate Kumar Ravi inaugurated the service on Monday.
"As conceived, 'Swagat Service' will include the services of interpreters who will help visitors clear custom, immigration and other formalities involving paper work and interaction with officials. As a fairly large number of visitors are from the non English speaking countries, including Thailand, Japan and Korea, the visitors invariably face language problem," Kumar said.
