No separate X-ray of tablets, iPads at airports

In a relief for flyers, there will soon be no need to take out tablets or iPads from hand baggage to be put separately in trays for X-ray at airport security check.

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security has decided to stop 'standalone' X-ray of personal electronic devices that do not have detachable batteries.
The regulator on Thursday conveyed its decision to the CISF and asked the paramilitary force to take a call on this issue shortly.
