New Delhi: Even as the national carrier Air India is working on a proposal to make its Cabin Crew wear Khadi attire, Delhi Airport today announced that its staff would wear attire made of Khadi during summers and winters.
The crew of Air India One, which carries the prime minister and president, has started wearing attire made of Khadi and have been complimented by PM Narendra Modi in one of the flights.
"Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) would adopt Khadi for the summer and winter uniform of the DIAL staff at DELHI airport," GMR Group Chairman G M Rao said today.
He was speaking at an event at Delhi airport, whereBJP President unveiled world's largest Charkha (spinning wheel) at the departure forecourt area of the Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport.
