Chennai: In a relief to passengers, new trolleys will replace the old ones in Chennai airport next month. Beginning August, 4,000 trolleys will be rolled out in a phased manner in the airport.
Airport director Deepak Shastri said a contract had been awarded to a private company — Ad Bureau Advertising Private Limited — for trolleys.
“We will carry out the maintenance periodically; they will look for revenue through advertisements in trolleys,” he added.
There is also a plan to bring in a facility to weigh baggage in the trolley itself.
