The authorities believe that the problem of fog delays would reduce for passengers flying in and out of Jaipur airport with the approval of CAT-IIIB lighting by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Now, the airport authorities will have to intimate various airports in India and abroad about having CAT-IIIB lightening system.
"We are hopeful to start the trial of CAT-IIIB lighting from December 8 onwards. Pilots who can run on CAT-IIIB lighting can only utilise this facility," said Jaideep Singh Balhara, director, AAI, Jaipur, on Sunday.
