Special flights for summit participants

Ranchi: Two special flights between Ranchi and New Delhi and five special flights between Ranchi and Kolkata will be operated to ferry the delegates who will participate in the global investors' summit scheduled in the state capital next week.
Nidhi Khare, additional chief secretary of the state personnel department, on Friday said national carrier Air India will run two special flights between Ranchi from New Delhi on the morning and afternoon of February 16 - the first day of the two-day summit.
"In addition to Ranchi-New Delhi special flights, five similar flights will be operated between Birsa Munda Airport and the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on February 16 and 17 to ferry the delegates between Ranchi and Kolkata," Khare said.

With less than a week left for the summit, the government on Friday said over 6,200 delegates from different countries has confirmed their participation for the event. Over 39 VIPs, including Union cabinet ministers, CEOs of several Indian and foreign corporates and foreign ambassadors will be hosted as state guests. Countries like Japan, Mongolia, Czech Republic and Tunisia have partnered for the the event.
The state tourism department on Friday issued guidelines for the city hotels which will host delegates. A total of 17 hotels and two guest houses were directed to keep their premises clean and ensure that every delegate is "warmly welcomed".
