Mangaluru: Vasamsetti Venkateswara Rao is the new airport director of Mangaluru International Airport (MIA). He succeeds J T Radhakrishna, who has been transferred in the same capacity to Calicut International Airport.
Rao took charge from Radhakrishna on Monday. Rao was the director of Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport, Amritsar, prior to his current posting.
Radhakrishna joined MIA in October 2012 and worked since then as airport director. He worked as head of engineering projects from 2004-2010 at MIA and executed the runway and terminal building projects during that time.
