Puduchery: Apart from the Spice Jet successfully operating between Puducherry and Hyderabad, Odisha Airlines would also start its service from here shortly, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy said on Saturday.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr.Narayanasamy said that the Odisha Airlines will operate Chennai-Puducherry-Salem-Bengaluru route and also Chennai-Puducherry- Salem-Puducherry-Chennai route. Odisha Airlines would start its operations from the end of December or early January, he said.
The Chief Minister also said that the government is in touch with Spice Jet and Indigo to start operations from Puducherry to Tirupati, Coimbatore and Kochi. Stating that presently several tourists are visiting Puducherry, Mr Narayanasamy said that the air connectivity to other areas would further enhance the arrival of tourists to the Union Territory. He said the government would ensure air connectivity to different destinations as done in the case of rail connectivity.
