Kochi: : In a major embarrassment for the Customs, CBI today arrested two of its officers, including Deputy Commissioner C Madhavan, in connection with the smuggling in of 20 kgs of gold bars from Dubai to Kochi recently.
Besides, Madhavan, Preventive officer Sunil Kumar was also arrested, CBI sources said.
The two would be produced before the CBI Special Court tomorrow.
Madhavan and Sunil were arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act for abusing their official position.
