New Delhi: The flag carrier plans a month-long special gastronomical treat for its cricket loving passengers during the World Cup in Australia with on-board delicacies like "Raina's Cheesy Pull Shot", "Sachin's Sweet Drive", "Dhoni's Swashbuckling Super Sixer" and "Captain Smith's Catch of the Season".
The new on-board menu will be offered on select flights from Feb 14, the opening day of the World Cup and will be on till March 29, 2015.
The airline said the new dishes have been designed by Oberoi Flight Services with cricket as the theme.
Air India's chairman and managing director Rohit Nandan said the airline takes pride in its culinary offerings across the network.
"Now, with the increasing number of international travellers on Air India flights as also the opening up of new destinations in the recent past, the airline will include more of Indian cuisine along with the cuisine of that region," Nandan said.
