Air Arabia open to invest in India, says group CEO

Mumbai: Air Arabia is open to invest in India as it is sees huge opportunity in the market, the airline's group  chief executive officer Adel Ali said today.

He added that currently Air Arabia is not having any discussions with companies in India.

Air Arabia is based in Sharjah and flies 112 flights per week to thirteen cities in  India. It offers 18,000 seats per week to India.

"Overall we are growing 17% each year. We are also a profitable airline but we are unable to grow in India because of traffic right constraints. The  share of India traffic in our  total passenger volume  is falling," he said.

Last year Air Arabia was designated as the official carrier of emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (one of the seven emirates which makes UAE) after the collapse of RAK Airways.
