Hubballi: People affected by the expansion of Hubballi Airport took out a protest march and blocked the roads here on Monday.
The people are unhappy with the compensation offered to them and the delay in addressing their grievances
Under the aegis of “Hubballi Vimana Nildana Santrastara Okkuta”, (Association of people affected by Hubballi Airport expansion), several people took out a protest march from Manjunath Nagar Cross to Akshay Park junction, where they formed a human-chain and blocked the road for sometime.
The grievance was, the fixation of compensation for the plots acquired for the airport expansion was unscientific and the compensation was released in 2011 based on the compensation package fixed in the year 2008.
