AP Govt. in contemplation to set up aviation, aerospace centers in state

The Andhra Pradesh Government on Thursday in a bid to attract investments into the aerospace, aviation and defence sectors stated that it is contemplating set up for the specific industrial hubs in the state.


Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met 11 prominent company CEOs from the sectors and had one-on-one meetings with executives from aerospace companies - Russia's Sukhoi Sikorsky and UTC, Raytheon International Inc, Rafael and Boeing International Corporation India Pvt Ltd, Bell Helicopter India, GE Aviation, Honeywell India, delegates from the American Chamber of Commerce in India and the US-India Business Council. 


The statement issued from the Chief Minister’s office also stated that CM Naidu elaborated the state government's plans to establish aerospace and defence hubs in Anantapur, Chittoor, Kadapa, Prakasam and Kurnool districts.
