Mangaluru: Customs officers at Mangalore International Airport seized six 10 thola gold bars totally weighing 700 gm, valued at Rs 18,90,000, brought by a passenger who arrived from Dubai by Jet Airways, on February 19.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Customs (Airport) N Udayashan- karan, the passenger, Mohammed Shroon (22), a resident of Kandathpalli in Mangaluru had brought the six gold bars by concealing them in his rectum.
