Indore: The Mumbai-bound passengers had a harrowing time at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport as Jet Airways flight S2 4384 was delayed by eight hours on Thursday. The flight, which was scheduled to depart at 12.30 pm, took off at 9 pm. The delay occurred as Jet Airways morning flight S2 4056 scheduled to take off at 8.20 am had to be grounded for technical reasons.
Some of the passengers called up TOI office to narrate their ordeal. "I missed an important meeting with clients as the flight to Mumbai didn't take off on time," said businessman Sushil Khedkar. 100 other passengers also missed their important assignments. The passengers blamed airlines staff for lack of proper communication.
Another passenger Priya Goyal said, "I had a flight from Mumbai to Bangalore. But this delay has upset my plans. The airlines officials never cared to provide us information on time about the flight status. Therefore, I had to cancel my flight for Mumbai and immediately booked a flight for Bangalore directly."
