Kathmandu: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has postponed its plan of resuming New Delhi flights with its new Airbus A320-200 aircraft until further notice.
The national flag carrier had unveiled plans to resume New Delhi flights from Wednesday.
It had stopped flying to the Indian capital three years ago, citing shortage of aircraft.
NAC Spokesperson Ram Hari Sharma said they decided to postpone resumption of New Delhi flights as Indian authorities were not ´satisfied´ by the documents submitted by them.
"Most probably, we will resume flight to New Delhi from Friday," he added.
NAC has unveiled plan to operate four flights a week -- on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays -- to New Delhi. It has already unveiled promotional fares for the flight. NAC will charge passengers Rs 7,084 (including taxes) for one-way flight and Rs 15,177 for round trip flight. Foreign passengers will need to pay an additional Rs 1,130 as tourism service fee.
