Uttar Pradesh Travel Mart (UPTM) was inaugurated on February 22, 2015 in Lucknow
by Akhilesh Yadav, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh. Yadav also launched a new
website ‘theheritagearc’ and released a booklet. The two-day Mart is organised
by UP Tourism and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry
(FICCI). Tour operators of nearly 24 countries are participating in
UPTM.
Yadav said that the heritage arch including the three cities, Lucknow, Agra and Varanasi would attract a huge amount of tourists from different parts of the world. To maintain the flow of tourists the state government would be focussed on strengthening good roads and power and good maintenance of beautiful wildlife, heritage buildings, historical monument Taj and religious places.
