Mumbai: The police are hunting for a 25-year-old Mangalorean man who mysteriously vanished from Mumbai airport, after arriving from Riyadh on February 22.
Mohammed Safwan Aboobaker was to catch a connecting domestic flight from Mumbai to Mangalore, but he never boarded it.
The city police are now tracking his cell phone, which is being switched on sporadically.
An air-conditioning technician in Saudi Arabia, Safwan was heading home to his family in Uppinangady, Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, when he went missing.
Safwan's family has said that he was heading home for good, and was supposed to board the domestic flight to Mangalore. They approached the Sahar police on February 24, after learning that he had indeed caught the flight to India from Riyadh on February 22.
