Ruckus at airport over AI flight delay

Ahmedabad: More than 200 Mumbai-bound passengers created ruckus at international terminal of city airport on Tuesday after the Air India's AI-614 Ahmedabad-Mumbai flight was delayed for almost seven hours. The delay was caused due to late arrival of Air India's flight from London.
According to Air India officials, the Dreamliner which operates on LondonAhmedabad route as AI-130, is used again on Ahmedabad-Mumbai route as AI-614. As many as 224 passengers were scheduled to leave by AI-614 from Ahmedabad at 6.30am. Since the flight kept getting delayed, the passengers created ruckus at the airport.

"We had to wait for hours as airline officials did not give us right information. Even our requests to accommodate on other flights were also not accepted," said a passenger. Out of 224, around 63 passengers cancelled their trip and took refunds. The flight finally took off at 2.15pm with 161 passengers.
However this has again brought the issue of constant delay of AI-130 LondonAhmedabad flight. The flight was once again delayed on Tuesday for almost seven hours due to crew shortage.
