Bengaluru: As many as 2,000 drivers operating at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) were given ID cards of the Karnataka State Private Commercial Vehicle Drivers Accident Benefit Scheme on Tuesday.
In an event facilitated by the Bangalore International Airport limited (BIAL), Labour Commissioner D S Vishwanath, IAS, and Deputy Labour Commissioner S B Shripad gave away the ID cards. “We always stand by the welfare of our employees and partners and this move is a reinforcement of this commitment,” said Bhaskar Bodapati, Senior Director Finance and Support Services, BIAL.
