Kochi: Air India Express (AIE) will introduce seven new flights to the
Gulf countries from Trivandrum, Cochin, Calicut and Mangalore airports.
From October 26, the airline will introduce an additional weekly flight
each from Trivandrum and Cochin to Muscat, two direct flights from
Calicut to Doha and three weekly flights on the Mangalore-Bahrain-Kuwait
route.

Air India Express increases flights to three south Indian cities
Muscat: As part of its new winter schedule, Air India Express will
increase the frequency of flights to Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and
Mangalore to four times a week from October 26.
A press release stated that with this new schedule, the total number of flights operated by the airline from Muscat will go up to 19 a week from the current 16. Apart from this, Air India Express will continue to operate two weekly flights ex-Salalah connecting Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.

AI Express offers baggage discount
Kochi: As part of its efforts to woo more passengers, Air India Express
(AIE) will give concessional rates for excess baggage up to 10kg to
incoming passengers from Middle East effective immediately.
Airline sources said passengers could carry up to 20kg free while Rs 150 will be charged for every kg up to 10kg. Currently, the passengers have to pay Rs 500/kg for excess baggage. This is expected to benefit those travelling with heavy baggage from parts of Middle East to Kerala and other states.
Sources said the airline had also decided to change the in-flight food and make it more ethnic from the ensuing winter schedule. The in-flight food for flights starting from Thiruvananthapuram, Cochin, Kozhikode and Mangalore will be decided in Kochi and for those flying out of north Indian destinations at Delhi and Amritsar.
